SpadeClub Awards Four World Series Main Event Seats, Combined Value of More Than $48,000.

July 2, 2008, Las Vegas, NV: SpadeClub, a subscription-based poker community, awarded the final two players of June 1 and June 29 World Series $40K Giveaway tournaments with a $12,000 prize package to the World Series of Poker* main event, meaning four players walked away with seats. SpadeClub Exclusive members Charles “labotomy” Goodwin, Ken “Handbone” Meyer, David “dkhunky” Kim, and Michael “fugetaboutit” Pontorno received a $10,000 buy-in to the main event, plus $2,000 for travel expenses from SpadeClub. These four Exclusive members will be participating in the 2008 World Series of Poker* in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino.

SpadeClub’s four World Series $40K Giveaway champions will represent the entire SpadeClub community at the 2008 WSOP*. SpadeClub will then host a freeroll poker tournament for the SpadeClub community with a growing prize pool based on how well the players perform at the main event. Players who make it to the final table of the event will be offered a player contract from SpadeClub valued up to $250,000 per year for 10 years. Members will track their SpadeClub champions by utilizing SpadeClub’s community features, which will include a dedicated blog tracking the champions’ success during this summer’s most prestigious poker event.
