MOD: 4/14/09: the Q4 off suit story

By 180Alpha

Someone accused me of being a donk for being in, after a raise, with Q 4 off suit. At the time I couldn't recall the situation. But a similar situation came up tonight (with much less success), and reminded me why I might have done it.

This from Brunson himself (paraphrasing): I believe in rushes. And you can't ride the rush if you fold after winning a pot.

So, if I've won the previous pot, if the position is good, and I think it's not too big a percentage of my stack, I could very well be in with anything, even after a raise. I might carry it to an extreme sometimes, but that's another story.
