(cont)How much per month will the elitists have to pay to keep it going? I think it will cost them a lot. It will then be a private poker club. Not neccessarily a bad idea. But, how much would have to be charged for the owners to make a profit on 2,000 players. Dr. C may be able to afford it, but many others can't afford a few hundred a month.

Has anyone else noticed that the pay out places on all tourneyments has shrunk........I used to be greatful for the 50 or so points you would get for higher then 100, now in the 5K 3.5 hours i finished 115 and i get Thanks for playing....just wondering why the big change......

My friends told me about the sudden, no notice changes Spade Club makes. Thus, I took a 1 month membership to check it out. Dr. Check Raise makes an interesting point. The change doesn't affect the experienced players as much as the recreatioal players like me. This is my first day on board and I've gotten quite an education already. The elitists, like Dr. C like the changes because an experienced player is ahead. But think about it, if I never win anything, what would motivate me to stay?
I'm not sure it'll decrease the donkey play, in fact I've seen more stupid all ins in the first few hands than ever before. I stay out of the stupid fest and play my game, but I still see a lot of donkeys getting a big chip stack and then taking out good players simply because they can call with their 74 off and get lucky. I too was surprised in the payout changes, but I figure it's cheap entertainment, I'd spend more going to a movie!
First we complain about donkeys playing then when a correction in payout is made that will decrease donk play because donks will not be able to earn tokens we complain some more. I say that if a person has a problem with these payout changes then they may need to examine their game. Because it really only effects the less skilled player.
Get rid of the 80 dollar free membership freeroll and more will have to pay to play and put the monthly money membership into more cash games.Get rid of some of these crazy players playing for free .19.99 paying members should get some rights it sure aint the cards!!!
1st- Support seldom tells you the truth. 2nd- The membership fee is going up soon.
Hi 1969,
Yes. I certainly noticed the difference and when I wrote to SC about these changes they stated that the changes where for in house purposes and that it would provide the players with a better experience. I wrote back asking them to explain how the new payout structure for points would provide for a better experience. They just repeated the same thing. This is very disappointing. I joined for a year and in less than a week from when I became a member, the experience has gotten worse: no

I'm not sure how they can increase the fee when their competition only charges 19.99. I think the point builders should pay out more places so people can try to accumulate points. I think it was fine to reduce the payouts for the daily cash tournaments to induce better play. However, if people have a hard time building points to get into the tournaments that pay out in tokens, it reduces their incentives to stay with the site is my thought.
