WOW! 1st Ever 1st Place & 2nd

Wow! Today I was lucky enough to have made it to not only 1 but 2 Final Tables! Woohoo!
I was up against PokerKitty in the 9:15 am Point Builder Tourney & she beat me taking first, but I'm ok with 2nd. PokerKitty played a fantastic game! In the $20, 9am Cash Tourney I was heads up with unbling & got lucky with a pair of 8's...of all things! Unbling was a good player.
I think I played a decent enough game, not really bluffing much & knowing when to fold helped me quite a bit this time. I can only hope that my game will continue to improve & that I'll be able to make it to a few more Final Tables!
I want to thank my husband, yet again, for teaching me more & more about Hold 'em. He has been so patient with me & explains things in a way that's easy to understand. Now, when I do good... he says it's b/c I get "luckier than shyt" with the cards always panning out for me to win...LOL. Yanno - it helps alot to know when to fold, call or raise/re-raise too. Mike tipped me off to some of the sites he's been to for reading and I've made some cheat sheets to help me learn more about positioning & how to play which cards in each position. The more I learn, the better my game becomes. Don't worry Baby... IF I'm EVER lucky enough to make it to a WSOP event, you're coming with me!
Note (added 9/24/08): I also took another 1st in a Point Builder, made it to the final table in the 5K Token tourney - got a blue chip and the last game of the night for me was another Blue Token Tourney - where I ended in 20th place. Not a bad day if I say so myself! Now... If I can make it to the BIG Money, I'd be absolutely thrilled!
