Qualified for $40K Tourney!

I'm happy that I got my $40K tourney qualifier in today! Originally I was going to try to get another $5K tourney token, but gave the $40K tourney qualifier a shot! It was tough because for about 40 minutes a huge stack (Dylansdaddy) was directly on my left, I was playing tight aggressive and I was getting few hands, but raised with A-J and A-Q (3-3.5x BB) and he popped it up another 3x my bet, I laid them both down because my tourney life would have been on the line and I had enough chips to fight my way to the final table and my minimum goal of earning the token. Eventually I did and finished 3rd out of 62, so I got my $40K token and an extra 1,000 points. I hope to see you at the final table and have fun!

congrats on the victory. That was a great job in making sure you get to your goal. A lot of players feel that if they bet and get raised that somehow they have been bullied and need to call with a weak hand. This will usually end bad. Now if an ISI is in the hand you probably shouldn't bet, just fold. The ISI are always watching.
