Sitting out for gain

By ApacheDriver

Pure play had the same problem~the ability to sit out FOREVER! Many people use this as a tool to get ahead; in a game like the 40K where blinds only change evry 15min and starting chips is 5K someone can sit for 2 hours with no fear of elimination. Also this program allows sitouts to play in the hand when their chips are all in~50% of time they win and continue their sitout. Sitting out shoul be limited to 15 to 20 hands....if can fix it (they now limit to 17 hands then removal from tourny) certainly Spade club can do the same

I strongly disagree.....The one thing I hate about pure play is that u sitout 16 hands play one hand and sitout again for another 16. Whats the point?????IN REAL LIFE I CAN SITOUT FOR AS LONG AS I WANT. Spade club Is REAL in respect to sitouts......I dont understand How it hurts you......Can u tell me how it effects you in anyway?

We originally had a 29 hand sit-out rule. This was recently changed. Let me ask you this: Suppose, for some reason, you have to quit a tourney, you have plenty of chips, is it better to donk away all your chips at once (benefiting one underserving player) or hit sit-out and therefore slowly give a few chips away at a time? It seems to me the second choice does less harm to the tournament.

sitting out doesnt really hurt anyone... but it is annoying, If you think about Joseph Hachem WSOP main event champ in 2005-- everybody saw what he did. He sat out at final table as a strategy to let all aggressive players destroy themselves. He will be at the end to clean up and finish the job. Its a strategy used in war. If a country is having a civil war, they are destroying themselves from the inside. Well, an invading country can sitout and wait for perfect time when all damage has been don

I agree with SC position of not wanting tournements filled with empty seats. That said, sitting out is mearly chosing to fold every hand. Do you need to be there? Half the reason I play online is because I also have a family and situations requiring attention arise. I personally agree with being able to sitout but see both sides of the fence. On a footnote, nothing rocks more than raising the sitouts for some easy blinds......

You can sit out in real life and you are not removed from a tourney until your chips are gone... that is how it should be, but, you must be there to turn over your own cards, so I don't like the idea of a sitting out player being able to with the hand.

I agree with the Dr. ... that is to say, if a player is in "sit out" mode, then when the action moves to that player, then their hand should be folded. No matter what.

I don't care if a player sits out or not. But there should be no way they win if they are not at the table. It has change the outcome of my games here and needs to be fixxed.

I'm confused, your saying a sit-out can win a hand automatically but I've seen the contrary. Player to my left sitting out, everyone folds to me SB, i complete the bet, sit-out hand folded I WIN.

I only sit out when I have to leave cause I got called in to work or emergencies...If I don't to all inn sometimes I take out innocent folks who want to play...But, I tell ev1 now out of respect...cause I rarely play more then 1 game at a time...But to run a bunch of games and sit thru them unattended ...Well You don't want my opinion on that...Kisses Apache...Sheeee

real poker rooms let you sit out as long as you want, why should it be different in an internet poker room?
