Thank you for issuing a statement regarding this tournament......... It left a VERY SOUR taste in my mouth, that an employee anyway related to your company was playing in this event. I feel it is unethical and leaves doubt in other players minds about the fairness of the cash payouts. (as you can see I posted it everywhere) I hope you will reconsider this in the future

Regarding 4/6 Mega Monthly tournament

Dear SpadeClub Member,
As many of you may know, Kristy “Guesss” Arnett, a Card Player employee competed in and won the $40,000 Mega Monthly tournament.
Kristy started as an intern with Card Player, and is now a full time writer and video personality for Card Player magazine and Card Player TV. She is a paying member of SpadeClub, and will be the first person to tell you that she stayed up until 4 am earning her red token. She plans to use part of her winnings to pay for another year of membership. I support and congratulate Kristy in her tremendous accomplishment.
As the CEO of a poker company, I encourage employees to participate in poker related events. When Card Player Media LLC launched SpadeClub I made the decision to allow Card Player employees to participate. Card Player and SpadeClub are two separate divisions and reside in separate office buildings. The SpadeClub Terms and Conditions, Section 3.4c, clearly state that only Card Player Media LLC employees that work directly for SpadeClub are ineligible to participate and win prizes. Kristy does not work for SpadeClub in any capacity and I am thrilled that she had the opportunity, like many others, to win big and risk nothing! Check back on CardPlayer.com later this week to read the interview with SpadeClub’s latest champion.
See you at the tables,
Barry Shulman
Card Player CEO
