well I get ak off suit on the 4 th hand raise to the small blind who goes all in. iithink then fold because it's too early.
Next hand i get pocket 10's. raise 6 times the big blind. The guy to my left calls. the flop is 44j. I check, he raises 350, I call next card is another 4. i check he raises 1000. I call. next card is q. I go all in. He calls. He has jq in the hole. My question is... should I have called the all in with the ak? Secondly. How should I have played the pocket 10's?

Signed another poor shnook until next week at 4

Ya, of course it helps tremendously to have a read on someone. I was explaining what I might do against someone who I've never played with and don't have any read on at all

Your AK fold was probably not the best move (hindsight is wonderful), but the second hand could have been avoided altogether if you knew the player to your left. He generally does
not play weak hands, especially when he has a big stack, unlike other players in the same situation. You might make a note on him.

If you just check call then you have no clue where you're at in the hand. He could bet any hand if you check to him, and at least a raise will let you find out if you're ahead or not. If he calls a raise then you should probably be done with the hand, if he reraises you fold. You also get fold equity by raising. He might fold JT, JQ, etc. if he reads that raise as aces or kings. Of the four options (leading out, check-fold, check-raise, check-call) I would say that check-call is the worst

I don't really agree with folding TT on that flop, just because an overcard hit doesn't mean that the guy hit it. The AK was probably a good fold, no use racing that early in a tournament. On the TT flop, you could either lead out and if he calls you might slowdown some and reevaluate. If there are no flush draws then you should be pretty worried that he called there. If you really want to check there, you could check-fold or check-raise, I'm not a fan of just calling there. to be continued

u probably should've reversed the way u played those two hands... All in with AK, and fold 10-10 on flop...
