I'm 40, with a wife and two kids, which means that I don't get out to play live cards as much as I'd like. So I play online where I can complain about my bad beats by typing into a little box and watching cute red pointy things censor me. Ah, technology.

BluffDaddy's Interests

POKER GAMES:
I kinda like that Texan Hang On To 'Em game, or whatever it's called. You know, the one where you have two cards and someone else has two cards and your cards match and are higher, but the other guy wins and says "good game" but doesn't mean it. That one.
POKER PLAYERS:
Gary Thompson is my favorite. Who's he? He's the Director of Sports and Marketing for Harrah's, and he cracked my aces in the celebrity media event at the WSOP a couple of years ago. I figure that makes him the best player of all time, doesn't it?
LUCKY POKER HANDS:
I only have two hands, and I'm not sure how lucky they are, but I usually do use them to hang onto the cards and seldom flip them over to expose the cards inadvertently, so I suppose in that sense, they are lucky hands, or at least moderately coordinated.
CASINOS:
They're the large buildings with table games and slot machines, but that's not important right now.
ACTIVITIES:
I like to type autobiographical personality descriptions for the sole benefit of internal poker site member consumption, yet limit myself to 255 or fewer characters. I've been known to sign up on poker sites just to fill out profile pages.
MOVIES:
I like the scene in "Stripes" where John Candy teaches the dumb recruit how to play cards. I've tried that technique in my home game and it's quite effective. "Show me your hand.... Me? I'd bet the whole thing. But I'm an aggressive gambler. Mr. Vegas."
TV SHOWS:
Card Sharks -- remember that '70s game show? "Is the next card lower than a King? Yes, It's a nine!" Now that's quality entertainment. Of course, it's no match for Joker's Wild. "I'll take All Those Ologies for 200, Jack.... Joker, Joker.. and a Triple!"
BOOKS:
The Las Vegas Hilton has always been my favorite book. They have the best prop bets in town. Mandalay Bay is nice, too, and Caesars, and Green Valley Ranch and Red Rock Resort have nice set-ups as well. As books go, I'd say they're among the best.
MUSIC:
I listen to all kinds -- MP3s, CDs, IPods, XM radio. I'll even listen to a cassette tape sometimes. I like variety.
POKER PLAYLIST:
I don't know what this means, so I'll use this space to list one of my great poker plays. I was on the button. I had 2-7 off suit. Everyone folded around to the cutoff, and he raised four times the big blind. I folded. Sometimes I marvel at my discipline.
QUOTES:
They're little marks that go before and after what someone says. I thought this was fairly common knowledge. I mean, I know the punctuation can be tricky, but just remember to put commas and periods on the inside of the mark. And you can quote me on that.
