Response to JustinSayne's Post — RE: "Hey sheep, you are being sheared"
By BrooksterMay 07, 08 09:29 AM

This is the response I received from SC regarding the removal of "Reversme" (this ties into JustinSayne's posting and censorship of specific blog postings):
"Hello, Thank you for your e-mail. Blogs and community features are only available for 'exclusive' members. Our blog community is free to express whatever views they wish. If this community member wants to spend his/her time making ridiculous unfounded statements that make no sense, he/she is more than welcome to. SpadeClub will not censor any blogs unless they are specifically attacking another community member personally or they contain racial or religious hate speech of any kind. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Rest assured that SpadeClub's #1 priority is our community and the integrity of our game. No employees of SpadeClub is allowed to play and win anything from the sweepstakes. We are confident that any reasonable person/customer is able to clearly see this. Hopefully one bitter user does not ruin the experience for you or any of your friends. If this user is personally offensive or abusive to you or anybody you know through the use of our blogs or chatting at the tables, please let us know immediately. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Sincerely, SpadeClub Support." [see http://www.spadeclub.com/profile/Reversme/blog/1832]
I have some concerns here: If SC does not find it appropriate to remove "Reversme" and her derogatory comments, why did they find it necessary to remove JustinSayne's comments regarding the WSOP promotion? His posting had nothing to do with hateful or abusive language towards another player; he was exercising his right to freedom of speech without using any type of abusive, demeaning or racial slurs to anyone. I would love to know who is the person or persons in authority that decides which posts are appropriate and which are not.
Nevertheless, I have to agree with JustinSayne; if we are lucky enough to win one of the WSOP prizes, we should have the freedom of choice of deciding how we want to spend that money. If it were my choice, I would rather have the option to use that money to enter several smaller events (or even satellites) with the opportunity to win my way into the final event. I would have more play time, hence I would be wearing SC's promotional gear which would give it even more exposure.
All feedback welcome.

COMMENTS
Jusinsayn's "Sheep sheared" post is still visible. Which one are you talking about?
Why should Spade Club remove Reversme??? Because you don't like some of the post he or she makes? If that's the case they should remove every idiot that posts "please repond to my blog so I my profile is 100%". The posts Reversme makes are on the negative side but this is a public forum. If you are offended by them skip over them. Censership is a very bad thing. If you start doing it then just get rid of the blog all together. I want to be able to here everyone's opinion not just the cheerleade

Reverse me has right to her opinion, however, is it necessary to post it all over the community blog? I think that is overkill. Say what you want to say and be done with it, period. Then it is up to the rest of us to either agree, disagree, investigate, or forget about it. Of course if you want to keep wasting time...keep it up. Like the little boy who cried wolf...soon noone will listen.
