Absurd 5k weekly

I had high hopes for this week’s 5k….was playing solid poker all week with 5 final tables (11th twice, should've been 7)…Well, instead, typical online poker ended it for me within the first 10 hands…three hilarious setup’s.

Very first hand of the tournament, I’m dealt kings. I’m first to act so I raise it to 120, folds around to the big blind gentleman who calls with A 8 offsuit. Flop is ace high rainbow, I assume they’ve been cracked, check check, he bets river, I call, and lose a relatively small pot considering what hand I had.

Fifth hand, I am again dealt kings….same hand to the suit… I’m mid-position, play comes to me, I raise to 140. One caller…the exact same gentleman from the first hand….with the exact same monster hand, A8 offsuit. Flop is also same scenario as first hand. Ace bets small, I call, bet small, I call, bet small, I call, I’m beat….exact same joke, just 5 hands ago.

Sixth hand, I’m dealt A7d. The exact same scholar that 3-outed my kings with the exact same hand twice…raises to 200. I decide to call, praying I can hit a big hand for once vs him. The flop came K A K. He checks, I check. Turn Ace. Bingo. 2nd nuts, I’m just hoping he bets into me. Instead, he checks, I check. River Q. Surprisingly, the gracious winner of a gentleman bets, I pause, all in. He calls with the one hand that beats me, pocket kings…the hand he cracked twice vs me with A 8 offsuit and thus beating my 2nd nuts.

Granted, I assume I should have not played my A7d in the first place. But to play it, hit the nut fullhouse, and lose to quads, that’s just sick. I laugh at this website and its “random card generator”. It should be named “Random Big Hand Setter-Upper”. And I also laugh at you, spadeclub. Fine, Spadeclub…give me all the bad beats you want…If I were a website, I’d bad beat a member like myself as well... I’m taking over $800 away from you without paying you a dime in return. Granted, not much relatively speaking, but a lot considering people pay $20 a month to play here. And such ridiculous beats, I cant understand how you can possibly attract actual paying customers.

So go ahead, spadeclub. And why don’t you also delete this blog just like you have for the previous three I wrote. I reread this a few times now, and I see no “offensive material” that you have a right to delete, but by all means, do it again. By the time your member services actually get around to it, enough people will have read it that my point is clear website-wide. And thanks again for your generosity, two paychecks worth from my summer job to take back to school with me. Too kind.
