what spadeclub needs not do is hand out poker points like candy like has done. that just encourage the bad play in every tournament. Its pretty bad when you cant raise a hand properly without 4 or 5 others calling with sht.

Change Spadeclub from 19.99/month to 39.98/month
By ChadBroChillApr 29, 08 04:28 PM

As the spadeclub community grows, the amount of awful poker players is increasing exponentially. I would rather pay double a month and play good poker than pay 19.99 a month and play with the current community. Raising the monthly fee would scare away the bad players and bring in the good ones. I would then expect the prize pools to double as well, what do you guys think?

The same thing started out with /betzip. As a founding member for over 3 months i saw the same players. After a year the numbers of members quadrupled. After the second year every tourney filled up to capacity as 1500 or 2000 players. It became increasiingly hard to win money. Albiet masterdan and a few others still managed to win every damn month, but my point is if something aint done in 2 years spadeclub will be the same way. What Spadeclub needs to continue to do is not raise t
dont know about everyone else but i would rather lose to a good poker player tahn some ass that gets lucky as hell and beats me and thinks he is good cause he called my all in with a 5 9 suited(cant forget the suited) and then as i said thinks he is good
Say what you want about my logic DrCheckRaise because it's actually your play that is horrible. Before you go on criticizing me, you should take a look at your oversized ego and realize that you are a pathetic excuse for a card player and you are a disgrace to the game. One more thing......... learn how to spell, moron.
I think your logis is horrible... Bring on the bad players, don't want good ones who can beat me.... sheesh
Chad,
I think you're logic is sound, but I think the fundamental problem is that these subscription based card rooms will always attract awful players. I use to play on a similar site and it got to the point of being an all-in fest, where there was absolutely no skill involved in the play. I think SpadeClub is a leaps and bounds ahead of them because of the cardplayer.com audience they're tapping into. I would pay more for more dailys and weeklys though.

I'll take the bad players all day.
