I lost out at Christmas but it was now New Years Eve
I know that I will win tonite I truly believe
I have watched all the videos and read all the books

My first hand was trashy off suited ace deuce

I reraised the better ten times the big blind
Sure enough he folded I was feeling sublime
Big stack at the table I was now in third place
When lo and behold I was just dealt an ace, ace
Limping in I was hoping for a big all in bet
Three obliged and when the flop fell I now had a set
Thank God this was online and not a live game
Stacking all those chips with arthritis would cause me some pain
Three spots now were empty in need of fresh meat
To my surprise it was three friends that filled in the seats
The first was the Codfish overbite and all
Then the beautiful Pusssh her stack really small
Finally sat Seasid a former Dairy Stater
Poppy fields will be her ruin sooner or later
Playing poker with friends is not always ideal
If you bust them you never know how bad they may feel
And thats just what happen on the very next deal
Pushing all of my chips in I was looking to steal
But they would have none of it and called one by one
When my seven deuce flopped a boat they were all done.
Thankfully the break came and Spade Club moved me again
To a table that this time was full of my friends
The elegant M"Lady she shines like fine crystal
My favorite Shadylady who can be quite the pistol
To my left was the X-Man you all know who I mean
This man has more courage than a squad of Marines
My new friend Rouletteboy I think Pusssh has the sweets for
The always cheerful Lorene I hope to get to know more
Marauder was across the way Bonita to my right
And last TightnLovely who I dreamed about last night
Man this was crazy they were all familar with my play
I would need a new game plan before I entered the fray
With a chip stack so large and without having a doubt
I sat back put my feet up and click on Sit Out
As time moved on so did my friends and I was at a new table
I needed to relax a bit so I pour myself a Black Label
It did not matter what cards I held I just could not do wrong
Players fell before me as i whistled their swan song
The button made an all in move small blind did as well
I looked at my pair of tens and thought what the hell
The button had a pair of sixes small blind had big slick
When the flop revealed six ace six I felt myself get sick
One hundred thousand in the pot how could i be such a dope
Then the turn gave me another ten and a small glint of hope
The river came and I had quads throwing my arms up in glee
I knocked over my beverage splashing it into my PC
With a loud pop and a crackle sparks began to fly
My eyes began to tear watching my computer slowly fry
Poker games like life don't always turn out as expected
No win for me this New Years night for I was disconnected
