Jerk's aren't just online part 2
By DonkeyFearAug 27, 08 01:04 AM

This is a continuation of "Jerk's aren't just online".
When we last left "White Shirt" he had just been given a 10 hand penalty. I said to Jack "You have been playing with me all day, you knew I had him crushed didn't you?" He replied "Yes, but I would have felt really bad if he had sucked out on you."
Well, he returns from the penalty to play his button (to me it was only 9 hands, he was playing the button when given the penalty, but the floor said he could play that hand).
Things were pretty quiet for the most part until we got down to 7 handed. He had built his stack back up by getting lucky a couple of times while I couldn't get a hand or make a decent move.
I was in about the 7th seat and down to about 20K. It gets folded around to me and I am looking at J8 spades and decide to make a stand. Mr White Shirt calls from the small blind with 23 offsuit (stack of about 110K).
Of course the 2 comes off sending me to the rail. He immediately says "Get him outta here!". I walk the long way around the table so I can pass by him. When I get directly behind him I say "I don't know why you have a problem with me, I never said a word to you". He again repeated "Get him outta here!".
Well, I do my paperwork, get paid and go get something to eat. I return to the poker room and what do I see? Jack and White Shirt are heads up. This really gets my interest. I walk up to the table, pull an empty chair back about 2 feet from the table (both of them are at the other end of the table, so I am not close to anyone). Spin the chair around and sit down so that my chest is against the back of the chair.
I watch the action until the following hand comes up.
They both get all-in pre flop. Jack is covered by quite a bit and the cards are turned up.
Jack has pocket 3s and White Shirt has AJ.
The flop comes up with the J. Turn and river are both spades and I squint and say in a questioning voice "Flush?" Jack has the 3 of spades and wins the hand. White Shirt immediately says "Clear the rail."
Before the floor can ask me to leave, I get up and walk over to the cash out table to sit down. The floor turns from the table, looks at me giving me a "You believe this guy" look and mouths something I can't make out.
Jack is standing up as they shift the proper amount of chips over to him. I loudly say "Hey Jack, some people just can't buy a personality can they?" Jack just smiles and nods.
I proceed to call my wife from a couple of tables over to start relaying the whole story, hopefully loud enough so I can be heard at the final table. Starting with "Dear, I believe I have just seen the biggest Jerk I have come across in my 26 years of playing poker".
To finish off the story, White Shirt wins the tournament. As it was relayed to me by Jack as he was cashing out, he got the money in with pocket Q's and was called by K4 offsuit. Jack said "I had to sweat the K and the K came up on the river."
Any and all comments welcome. Even if you happen to be "Mr. White Shirt". (You know who you are .. LOL)
