The column that I wrote for Australian Poker Weekly will focus more on his charitable reign as World Champ. That article will be released next week.

By DrCheckRaiseMar 21, 09 07:16 PM

I just finished my interview with WSOP Champion Jerry Yang. I have to tell you it is an exciting story and I only hope I can do the conversation justice. After I am finished writing it I will get it posted for you to read. It is an amazing story.

Wanted to add...Jerry Yang is trying to organize a charity/celebrity poker tourney at the Tachi Palace in Lemoore, CA late next month around April 25th I believe. It's suppose to benefit the Ronald McDonald house. $300 buy-in, other details and confirmations of which poker celebrities are still TBD. It should be an exciting tourney, I'm looking forward to it. Thanks Doc, I registered at DCR and read blog. I have had the pleasure to meet, talk, and play with Jerry a couple times. Our local indian casino, Tachi Palace in Lemoore has a little sponsor contract with him, so he plays in their monthly wsop satellites. He is genuinely a nice person and great ambassador for poker. He's a good example of what players should strive to become. If everyone treated all players and dealers with utmost respect, tournament poker could become a respected sport.
