FORT HOOD SHOOTING (5 NOV 2009)

I want to inform everyone that I have made it home safely. I work in the building next to where the shottings occurred and was actually on my way to that building to fix some of my medical paperwork. One of my soldiers told me not to go over there because they said there was a shotting in the area. I walked out the building anyway and watched helplessly as my fellow brothers and sister ran for cover from this crazy man. I've been to Iraq twice and I have never been more scared than I am now. Even though he is in custody I no longer feel safe in a place that I thought was our safehaven. I want to thank everyone for their prayers and concerns. I joined the Army to keep our country safe from enemies foreign and domestic. Who would have ever thought that domestic would be one of our own. Contiune to pray for the families who lost loved ones and victims who are wounded. Most importantly PLEASE...PLEASE pray for those children whose parent(s) that didn't return home yesterday. God Bless and let's stop being so negative on these tables. It's just a game and as yesterday has shown me life is too short for fighting.

It was a terribly sad thing. Yes, he will be court martialed and sentenced to die. But, what should happen to the FBI people and the Army people who knew there was a serious problem, and did nothing. They too should be court martialed. Sins of ommission are almost as serious as sins of commission.

My heart goes out to all the families that lost fathers,mothers children, It is outragious that we can not even protect all the people that are preparing to protect us......what is this world coming too i AM SO GLAD TO HEAR THAT YOU ARE OK...I chatted with your BF last nite at the tables and he was so concerned about you glad to hear you are ok.... Please send my prayers to all the others ..... stay safe meowwwwwwwwwwwww
