I CANT HELP IT IF YOU GOT LUCKY
By Jimbra420May 06, 08 07:56 PM

With so many people playing poker today, luck is probably the most important factor. I don't care if your Doyle or Phil, skill will only get you so far. I've out played a million people only to get beat with runner runner or the case card on the river. Luck is such a major part of poker, especially online. Remember it is better to be lucky than good...

Interesting conversation. I agree with slipstream to a point. Yes, the more skilled player will win in the long run, but, when you're playing a SnG, or small tournament, you're not looking for long run wins, you're there to win right then. Ring games, on the other hand, I definately agree with slipstream. Skill will overcome the luckiest players in the long run. As with any game there's always going to be a luck factor. The more skilled player has the advantage, the lucky player just gets lucky.
A skilled player will cash more times in all tournaments that an unskilled player, no matter if it is SNG or Multi-table.... Over a period of time.
