Tonights 5K - I'm still laughing!
By SymonSep 21, 08 05:39 PM

The very first hand. I'm UTG+1 (I think) and I get dealt KK. I'm thinking this going to turn out to be a really good start! I decide to raise. Mmm, how much? 7 X BB will probably be enough to get at least one caller, but drive most of the garbage out. So I raise to 140. Sure enough I get a caller. Then another. (Uh oh, I really only want one.) I'm in luck, the next guy (button I think) raises to 280! This is great, I'll reraise to 560 and maybe these other two will drop out. They do! The last guy calls. This is perfect for my hand because unless the guy has AA (which has happened more times than I can count) I have a good chance of winning a nice pot on the very first hand. The FLOP - J J 2(I think) with 1450 in the pot. My turn. Now I'm pretty sure from the way we played preflop that this guy is sitting on a pocket pair, I just don't know how big it is. I don't think he would play AJ or KJ that strongly preflop. I have seen a few fools play AK that strong preflop, but I don't think that's what he's got. Unless he has AA (which is still quite possible in my mind), then I still have the upper hand. I'll raise 1/2 the pot (725) and just see what happens. He pushes all-in! At this point I figure there's a 50/50 shot that he has those Aces and if he does my goose is cooked. But, you can't win a tournament without sticking your neck out now and then. I go ahead and call, the cards are flipped face up and what do I see? He's got a pair Jack's in his hand and a pair on the flop! QUAD Jacks! I didn't even see the turn and the river I was laughing so hard... It's been an hour and a half since the I busted out and I'm STILL laughing! I LOVE THIS GAME! LOL!

One time on ultimate bet i flopped quad queens. Some fool raised me all in after the flop. Well that fool hit his straight flush on the turn...hmmm...In retrospect, I guess I was the fool...I shoulda folded quads after I saw there was a possiblity for someone to hit their straight flush....Online poker...
