I really like this idea. Last item I read about PokerStars stated(from 2 independent firms) they were the only "full service" online poker site that has a truly random generated deal. FullTilt can't make this claim, nor any of the other larger sites. I'm not sure where SC falls in this catergory. Big theory. Thanks for getting my brain going tonite Guesser~

Hand History Odds Calculator - Interested?
By TheGuesserFeb 02, 09 06:33 PM

First I’d like to say that I know bad beats are part of poker. Like when I pushed all in pre-flop with pocket Aces in 3rd position and was called by only the BB w/a quarter of his stack w/8-4 suited. He flopped two pair and they held up. On the other side, I’ve made some bad reads and some ill-timed bluffs and have received some luck along the way as well. It’s just part of the game.
As I like the call them, Spade Club Specials (SCS) are the hands dealt that give the underdog, or donkey play, the winning hand. I know everyone has a trunk full of bad beat stories, both played and seen, but the percentages on-line don’t seem to balance out. I seem to see more of these on-line than I do at the live tables (even given the number of hands played).
So I wonder why all sites are not more transparent about hand history?
My proposal is a Spade Club History Odds Calculator.
I believe Spade Club should publish the results on their site to show how hands have come out over time. Just as they have the odds calculator at the bottom for “text book” percentages, players could select hands and see how they have come out on “live” Spade Club tables dealt to date. I am sure Spade Club has enough hand history to reduce randomness of limited plays and if the program is working properly, the odds should be about the same as the text book.
This “open accounting” would prove, or disprove the accuracy of the random number generator and give the bad beats less to discuss (note I only said less and we all love to tell our bad beat stories – but hardly anyone likes to hear them!). If it does show an irregularity, then maybe they can look at the RNG algorithm to see if there it is truly random.
What do you think?
