To Call or Not To Call

It is amazing how upset people get when you call their bet and keep calling until show down. At which time you just happen to win the pot. You may have had it from the flop or maybe you caught the turn or river to get it. Fact is you got it only because you choose to call the bets.

I have been called every Name in the book because I took out the guy with Pocket AA, KK, QQ, JJ, and 10’s. Because I decided to make the call of his large Pre-flop bet holding 3, 5, off suite “Yes I am CRAZY”.

It seems that so many players think if they go all in or make a large bet they will pick up a big pot if called pre-flop or that everyone will fold. Almost always the guy that makes a large bet already has his mind made up he is going all in on the flop regardless what the cards are. Which is fine?

If I called his bet I am prepared for the ALL IN but will not go past the flop if I do not think I have a chance at making a bigger hand. There are so many factors in making a decision and yes sometimes I do make the wrong call and get taken out. That is Fine I am prepared for that.

I think people forget there are 7 cards to work with on any hand and there is more than just 1-2 pairs or 3 of a kind that win pots. Remember there is the Straight, Flush, Full House, Straight flush, and Royal Flush… Oh Yes and of Course the 4 of a kind.

I am here for one reason only that is to Play Poker and have fun… and meet and make friends… oops I guess that is Three reasons.

So, if you’re not prepared to lose your chips do not bet them. Does not matter to me one way or the other I am Happy WIN LOSE OR DRAW!

FOR THOSE THAT ENJOY A GOOD GAME OF POKER I GUARANTEE I WILL GIVE YOU JUST THAT.

GL ALL SEE YA SOON!

That is y small ball is based on game theory. The only way to outsmart someone who has the same options as u is to be able to surprise yourself. Pick a hand before u r dealt cards and play those as if they were aces. Ur hole cards r only 28.2% of a hand if the hand is ran out to the river. Why overbet big pocket pairs? Increase the pot size yes, however don't go nuts preflop.
