Very slow, slow slow. 8 minute rounds are even too long.

they take too long!!

LOVE the tourneys here, but does anyone think they take too long? my god they cut down to 27 payouts for most freerolls and the blinds go up at an agonizingly slow pace...

Time involved is not worth the payout in most cases. Don't mind playing through the night in a live game, but can't do the online thing for more than 4 or 5 hours. I eventually get bored and push all in.
8 minute rounds are too long? Really? Any decent cash buy in tournament has rounds of at least 40 minutes. These tournaments are already virtually turbo tournaments. Granted, you play more hands per hour online, but the difference is not THAT substantial. There is already a poke and pray strategy in most of the small daily tournaments. Reducing the time of the rounds will only increase that type of play. If you like lotto poker, then shorter rounds would be for you.
I think the rounds are ok just as they are. It would be nice though if they could provide some tourneys with a max. of say..200 players....for those of us who can't put in a half day sat in front of a computer screen.
maybe its me and my need to keep things going but you guys notice that when it comes to a showdown its takes 3-4 seconds to show the hands, then another 4 seconds to show who won, then 3 seconds to push the chips over. i dunno I'm exaggerating but when you see how long it takes to win a pot on show down the seconds add up in hundred hand tourneys. that's my only pet peeve with this site.

maybe send to support the idea for turbo tournys?
