First Hand Knowledge

I just finished in the 20$ Tourney that started at 13:00. Yes I am finished already! I have had bad beats before but this was my worst. I have kq off and call the 20 blind. Flop comes 10S, qS, kC. I check one person bets 60 and I call. Turn is kS, I check one person bets 80 and I call. River comes and wouldn't you guess it aS. I bet 200 hoping for the other player to get a call. The other player goes all in. I pause and type "you don't do you?". I call reluctantly and of course the other player has pocket jacks and the now haunting j of spades. All I can say is I've played more than a million hands of poker in my life and still have not gotten a Royal Flush.
Did I play it right? Would it have mattered if I had pushed on the flop, the turn? Should I have folded? I am mystified. I just thought I'd share this with everyone. I now have time to do some work around the house. Fun, fun, fun!!!

I think you should have pressed with top pair rather than Cking it. Knowing well that someone still playing after the flop might be looking to catch the lucky card. However nothing you can do once its over. I guess in some way u are still lucky enough to see a ROYAL FLUSH... hopefully next time it comes it will be to match your hole cards! =)
