Ouch and yet another bubble finish.

I played for a red chip last night and truly thought I was FINALLY going to be rewarded with one. My chip stack was ebbing and flowing back and forth from 9700 to 11700. I saw an opportunity to remove any doubt of NOT ending up at the final table when I was dealt AK suited on the Big Blind. The small blind had been building his stack with some good smart play by raising to 'steal the big blind'. The small blind raised 1800 and made it 1200 to go(blinds were 600 and 1200). I had the small blind with an ace and a moderate kicker. Even if it was a mid pair then I'll take that race. Everyone has their opinion to hand rankings however I felt I had the 3rd best hand thought some it is the 4th. Well not to belabor the point I pushed all in. His call would have left him with a very small stack (apprx 3500). He called with j/10 offsuit. Flop was AJK turn JACK river a blank.

There was more than a few good players at this sight. Looking for your take as to 1) a good (or) bad move on my part to push all in 2) the small blind calling the all in with j/10 off.

Thanks to any that answer. Opionions are welcomed.

See you at the tables. :-)

You never mentioned players left but assuming your title, i am going to assume 10? With someone playing fast and loose for your blinds, i would fold to the final table. The prize you were after was your token, not first place. Let someone else notice he's playing like a maniac and take a stand. If u had him outchipped?......maybe a different story. GL and see ya at the tables.

hi,
i really like they the way you're approaching the issue. instead of making comments of derogatory nature about the other player claiming of being "victimized by other's wrong doing", you're simply approaching what could be a very sensitive matter from 1st person's perspective. this is a clear sign of the maturarity of the person....

(cont'd) .. well, very similar thing happened to me earlier today at a final table. exact same starting hands with very similar flop and the very same result. i caught a J10o limper with Ako going all-in, he calls, the board finishes up being AKQxJ. i am out... what can i do other than to congratulate the player by saying, "yes, vnh indeed." i just know one thing, given same opportunity under same situation, i will do the very same thing, just hoping for a little different result.GL "dawgmeat"
