Harry Johnson suggested this in a blog response. I think it's a great idea. I believe it would create scenarios in which people would play their best poker against players they like and respect, hopefully elevating everyone's skills. Bragging rights would be a pretty good motivator in these cases, and might result in some really great competitive games, with less of the bingo burros. I say let's make it happen, SC!!

I think it would be wonderful to be able to set up a table, invite peeps, and go for it.

I second that emotion! (or would this really be 'third'??)

It would certainly expedite the heads -up tourney to have password access to the table your opponent is waiting on

Sorry Bric, but even though I like your Blog and agree with it, ACEMAN2121 and his own particular "style of play" needs to be addressed publicly!

Aceman has been after me since I singled him out in another player's blog, telling him to stop being childish and asking him to start acting his age.

Now all he seems to do is want to take pleasure in talking me and others down by harassing us and telling everyone to shut up in poker games and in blogs.

Aceman often picks on other player's stats, including my personal record of 1 First Place in only 7 Final Tables.

Now, 1 First Place Win in 9 Final Tables would be average play, as would 2 in 18, but Aceman2121's personal record of 2 Wins in 74 Final Tables (!) is less than desirable. No wonder he always seems angry!

Maybe if Aceman2121 stopped bullying and mocking others and focused on his own game play, he could improve his final table performance to a level he could be proud of...

Be very careful beofre you start attacking other players' stats. The number of bounties you needed to get those 7 final tables is far more important than your final table to win ratio. The players are bad here. I've lost count of the times I've gone out 2nd or 3rd because I was too aggressive (lol!) short handed against an opponent who doesn't understand the game and had a bingo big stack. On the turn in PLO I shove with 2 pair against a player I've worked out is a donkey and he calls with a...

...gutshot for 2/3 of the total chips!!!!! And I finish 2nd when he fills his guts. I'm happy to lose to a better player or to a weaker player who PUSHES his or her chips in, but when a no brain calls with NOTHING and beats you they get a stat which says "green trophy" (and their number of wins goes up by at least 100%) and you get yet another "final table but no win" stat. I've seen some 5k and 30k winnere here play like idiots in the daily games, game after game - they got lucky that's all....

...Anyway my wins to final table ratio was 5 to 11 at one point now it's 11 to 144. Are you going to tell me that I used to be the best player on SpadeClub? Oh go on, feed my ego. DonkeyClub.

While it's self-serving, i agree with Swighey. i've only won twice, but i think i have 15-20 2nd or 3rd place. Thursday night, 3 left in $500, I shove A 8 first to act, (really just looking to take the blinds) and get called by K Q for a pot of 1.8 million and he nails a queen. So, am i a worse player because my "stats" only show two wins as a result of that ONE hand? At some point with the blinds escalating, 2 - 3 handed can often be a cr*pshoot where you can't ignore the size of the pot vs. si

where you can't ignore the size of the pot vs. size of your call, even with an average hand.

Once again Swig u took the words right outa my mouth....have many 2nds most do to suc out bad calls. As long as I get my $$ in with the best hand the trophy is irrelevant in my mind...would rather know I made the right play in a loss than the wrong play in a win...I think !!
I would love more trophies but really here to learn play solid and have fun.
