A Tribute to the Ladies of Spade Club

With over half of the year gone, three men have begun to separate themselves from the rest of the pack in the SPOY race. Well done CHILLSHOT, merik78 and downtown209. You guys have switched places at the top more often than I change my socks.... Best of luck to each of you!!!

However, what I really notice when I glance at the "top twenty five", is that FOUR of the top 11 are women! That's right.... almost 40%of the top 11 are girls.... This is no fluke I assure you....From personal experience playing against them, I can say that each of these ladies is a champion in her own right... Take a bow marcazz333, schmelnik, Five Aces2009 and my dear friend Crystal Lady, This list would not be complete without mentioning marinaki who, although "new" to the game(those are her words, not mine), has been in the top twenty five for as long as I can remember.
I am privileged to call each of these great ladies my friend. And consider it an honor to extend congratulations to each of them on their great accomplishments.

These five ladies are not the only great female players we have at Spade Club.... The following list are some of the best female poker players I have encountered here or anywhere else... They are in no particular order... pixiechick,KC49er01,dizziexdebb, Jackie, saddsaxx, Texasdaddy'sgirl,Hearts for Honey, I QQkin, miss kitty,
Alpenglow, BitemeEh,MONMISS, krazykat, Sacred Moon, Spicy71,
Bravelassie and Sassy Lassie.... If you see any of these names at your table... PROCEED WITH CAUTION..... They CAN and WILL take all your chips!

If I excluded any one from this list, I apoligize... Feel free to acknowlege any other great lady players below....

Well, there you have it girls.... Although long overdue,,, This one's for you!!!! The best to each and every one of you...

Bold prediction: In 20 years time the world's best NLHE players will be mostly female and the world's best stud players will be mostly male. A bunch of old timers will then try to get the WSOP main event changed to stud because they are scared to get in touch with the feminine side of their psychological make up. WOW, I was cruising on blogs, I do once a month or two, and so very nice of you to acknowledge, that girls can play at men's TURF..Thank You Codd.....but of course, men remain to dominate this game......we girls don't really mind, cuz men have the ballzzz...and we don't..LOL...kidding.....and yes, it's more appealing when they're on TOP..LOL...now..don't give it a sexy meaning..LOL

WOW, I have been deliquent on reading blogs, my bad cuz this is a goody!!~I have been waiting for some man to put it in writing how great the Ladies are. It is no secret, no lie, that ladies can play a good game of poker, but the credit is way overdue. I give them all cudo's because we put up with more than the men have to. Some men get soooo nasty when a "lady" beats them. I applaud all of you, top 10 top 25 top 1000 I don't care, you are all winners to me for even trying to play this game.

btw sweety, you forgot Alpenglow and Shenandoah, two great players as well as sweethearts. I thank you so very much coddfish, you have always been so wonderful to all of us, I applaud you and am honored to be your friend. I want to say to rad123xyz that you must have a very sheltered boring life with no love oh and let's not forget that your only game is to hate on people..no class, no skill, must be why you are so jealous of the ladies that are here. cux you cry when we beat you..GO LADIES!~:)

ooops sorry, you did mention Alpenglow, woop woop...one more point of interest, My daughter posed as a guy when she first came here just to see the difference in acceptance, it was instant as a male, and welcomed by many. When she revealed she was female just before she left here, the tone was very different, and even lost 2 of the top males as friends. this experiment proves that some men still have a hard time accepting that ladies can be just as good of poker players, and friends as men.

Newest add to list.... Tiny Riley!!! She finished 5th in the 5k today and cracked into the SPOY top 100... Couldn't have happened to a nicer (or prettier) gal... She's a poker dealer too! I think I'm in love.....

Two more great lady players for the list... As good as GUS ... because she kicked my butt in the Heads - up challenge... She's a very talented player and great lady too !!
And dirti diva... Not only is she a great poker player... She's a great friend too !! She's on fire right now... One word for her... AWESOME !!

These two ladies are pure class at the tables... however... WARNING !!! They can and will take all your chips... (like they did mine!)
