Tough week in NFL to pick 5 winners or is it?
By digadeeSep 20, 09 01:55 AM

I am in a football league, a pool and you have to make five picks ats every week and its a pretty healthy buy-in and this week I was up against it. About 8 games stood out to me and while trying to eliminate 3 and stick with the 5 best, it got harder and harder. I normally take the Chiefs at Arrowhead in this once upon a time great AFC rival but I was leaning toward the Raiders in this one and I like getting pts but it was left on the back burner. You just never know about the Lions , they have to show up eventually right? And dont like giving that many pts even though on paper it should be a easy cover. Chil who is a Eagles fan doesnt like them at home and its understandable and most everybody else I have talked to likes the Saints as well, so staying away from that one even thought I am still thinking Philly wins that one...I think Carolina is better than ppl give them credit for and they could win that game outright let alone cover a full td spread. I like Seattle but the 49ers as well, that was a tweener game for me even though I give the edge to the Seahawks but I stayed away from that one but going to be a great game I think in the NFC.
I like the Bucs getting pts as well and they have never lost ATS to Buffalo, 6-0 lifetime. And even though I think the Giants are a better team than the Cowboys, thats a close game as well with a lot of factors to consider but still give the G-men the edge in the end but not enough to bet it. I think Denver covers 4 at home and the under is looking pretty good, might tease that one. I like the Ravens on the ML let alone getting pts! The Pats, Jacksonville and The Steelers even though I think that game could be a trap, before I saw the spread I figured it would be like Pit -6-10 and the fact that Chicago is 10-1 lifetime vs Pit at Soilder field, we'll see. Alright and for number 5, why is nobody even talking about the MN game??? I like the Fins at home, I am placing a healthy ML bet on this game and taking the pts, Chad P. came from NYJ so he is used to all of Manning's crud and seen it all before, no M. Harrison, Gonzalez hurt, only put up 14 pts at home vs the Jags, I dont know, all of the money seems to be on Indy this game and I could go down in flames but I like this game and getting GREAT odds, so keep pounding that line for me public, one of us is going to be very happy and one , well not so much...Bottom line, its Sunday and football again, god I love this time of year! So have a great weekend and gl guys to all of you in your picks and in the 5k today, a poker tourney and football action all day...ohhh, there is only one thing missing to make it the perfect trilogy...
