when u see what it takes to win and then can get a consistent result to do it over and over again, u have entered the twilight zone. no longer does it matter what players say or do, just focus on what u need to do to win and after u do it enough u become successful, anyone can win some, those that do it regulary are skilled players and only need to be patient, focus, and win.

skill level
By grumpyoldmanJan 05, 09 01:55 PM

1st let me say that I have tried the rest and SpadeClub IS the best.
I have been playing poker 4 over 35 years
I have been playing online 4 about 6 months
there is little if any skill required (what little there is will be another blog)
the RNG sets the results of the game the instant the game starts
you will finish in the position the Random Position the computer gives you. and there aint squat you can do about it.
Dissagree?-keep reading
I tried over 20 sites and SC is 1 of 2 that remain on my smartbox.
EVERY site I joined I started off doing really well and after a short
time -nuthin-I was unable to deposit $ on most sites for various(legal) reasons, coincedence? I dont think so. Then I found SC-like the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow-jackpot.
After drawing card dead (and I mean deader than dead) 4 about 2 weeks I finally had some good runs-in point games Sat nite.
on to the $30k-start with big win-4x and Im on my way. Pocket KK 4 times-results 0 fer 4. the 4th one crippled me and out just before the $. 1st thing Mon morning 1st hand ( free mem) 2-2 flop set 3x good start-next hand A-A big smile I like winning free mem -flop rags-push hard lose half my stack to 8-8-9-9, next hand Q-Q out. Next game RT qualifier-1st hand double up, next hand A-Q suited call all in opponet shows 4-7 unsuited -out.
I have played 12 to 18 hours a day up to 4 tables at a time, some tips from veteran online players have been a big help but in the end I finish where I finish and go on to the next one-never give up-when its my turn I will win what I win. this is why the sore losers that cuss at me from the rail are a great source of amusement.
The friends I have made at SC are worth more than any amount of $

while it may be the results are determined at the beginning of the hand, if the palyer who is supposed to win, or more accurately the cards that are supposed to win,are not in the hand at the river, then that hand can't win.
I was in a really bad mood because of beats last night while playing the 75 cash and made at least 3 and maybe 5 calls I knew were bad calls and won every one of them.
This is where the beats come from-players not knowing enough, or caringenough, to fold when they should
I agree w poker1040, and to an extent, the oldman. Yes, the cards are predetermined before the deal. That is NO different than in a live game after the dealer has shuffled. So, any given hand will win. The trick is to get the 1 that should win 2 fold preflop. NOT SO EASY online. 2 many players like those sooted cds, cnctrs, A-rag, and even some like K-rag thru J-rag. And they will call w any 2 cds 10 or above. Just keep playin smart and be patient. Folding a lot doesnt hurt either.
not talkin about hands
the results-finishing position
I can tell when my tourny is over
I often know what cards opponents have and freq know the turn and river cards when all-in and the cards are face up-on 2 the next one or up the leader board
