G8tr and Swighey are right. He never even had so much as a pair and was drawing the whole way but felt he was entitled to win because of the hand he could make if he hit his outs. What's he doing coming in with that hand anyways?
Unfortunately that's a typical spade club omaha tourney - the donks will play any starting hand. I used to do well in them but have been playing far too loose lately, drawing to K flushes etc. There are no antes until really late so you can fold fold fold until you get in to a pot cheap with a decent hand. This blog has prompted me to tighten up my omaha game. See you on the final tables!
Which was why I was surprised that there was no trips against me, but there was no NUTZ in that hand until the river; because the NUTZ is the best hand. Personally the NUTZ should be called the nuts when the river card is played.
That's what I HATE about OMAHA....it's a game where there are so many cards in play a made hand on the flop can actually be an underdog to a drawing hand. Unlike holdem in Omaha this happens almost every flop. Omaha requires no skill...just the balls to pay to draw. A slot machine at best.
That is so funny, Ohama is a game about having the best hand and hitting the flop as well. Its a skill game because alot of pro's ohhhh like to play it. There is huge swings in Ohama, and huge swings in Holdem...they are different games. Holdem players hate Ohama, because its played differently.
I like Omaha and think it's a much better game then NLHE - although I'm way behind the 8 ball and have a lot to learn about the subtleties of the game . My NLHE journey is about 90% complete (I'd put some of the better players on SC on 95%, most ggod pros on 97 and your Ivey's and Durrrr's on 99 - so by 90% I mean a pretty average player who understands the game and applies the basics well most of the time and the subtleties well at least some of the time). PLO I'm about 20% but that's better..
...than most SCers who think it's a bingo game because you have four cards. What I have learnt on this site though is if you play a tight game, you will go deep and final table more often in PLO than in NLHE. Sometimes the temptation to go bingo early is too much thouh in a freeroll.

Lol, good job Johnny! I haven't counted them but you had a bucketload of outs - plus you had a decent starting hand, any KKxx double suited is good, in fact 9QKK is decent even four suited at least to see the flop. And how can a joker that plays 8c 5c 4s 10c talk about bad play?
