as always, your comment is well timed. I've been pretty much absent from Spade Club except for the "big games" and haven't even looked at my profile for over two weeks where before it was like every hour. ever hear halleluah? i bought a DVD from a really great site that takes you step-by-step through the song with some pretty advanced sounds so you end up playing a really incredible piece. hope you're getting some quality time with your music and having tons of luck at the table. be well. :-)

hey lover. err, musiclover. :-) just read your blog comments and wanted to be sure that you knew that i totally respect you and your choice to believe in something i don't. haven't read some of my postings for a while, but given some of the "heat of the moment" and probably too hasty in some cases, replies, i'll take this opportunity to again, apologize for any "hurtful" comments. i guess my position is that you don't need god to be good. it's ok not to believe. :-)

my son turned me onto this song a few months ago. have to admit that i'd never heard it. then started doing a little research and found that he was not alone in being mesmerized by the song. everyone from bob dylan, bon jovi, k.d. lang, sherly crow, eric clapton, bono, willie nelson, rufus wainrwight and the list goes on. it was written by leonard cohen and he couldn't stop writing - over 80 verses in all... the first verse has the music actually following the lyrics...
