I made a good read on a player two spots to my left who had been playing rather wrecklessly. Whenever I was on the button he was the big blind. Most of the time if I limped or raised he would push. This particular hand I just knew he didn't have anything and he wanted the chips in the middle already at this point. After losing the hand with some random crap like 9 3 off or something similar, he was scolding me for calling and called me a nasty name. I told him it was clear what he was doing so I made the call. I made no apology.
This is what I found funny... He said, "Well look at what you've won on here." I really had to laugh out loud here. Do you players who play thousands of hands on this site a month or even a day consider this site as the önly poker accomplishment out there in the world? I guess my years of live cash and tournament winnings don't count, or the good reputation I've built by playing a good game, being a gracious player and being as professional as possible.
I mean do you really think that this site is ÏT??? I understand for many there aren't other casinos, etc. but there are things like, oh, I dont know, doing laundry and mowing the lawn, and cleaning the pool, or helping kids with homework. Lord KNOWS I adore Kenny and love this site. Please Please Please do not make the arrogant mistake of assuming the little symbols next to our names and profiles completely define us poker players and people.

Unfortunately there is no way to prove winnings, successes or even defeats outside of Spadeclub. I have beat many people & knocked many people out of tournaments here who have said the exact thing to me: "Well look at what you've won on here." And the funny part is: I usually HAVE won more than them. The fact is that a strong player will be successful no matter where he or she plays over a period of time.
