The Randoman54 Blow Up
.

If someone told me this story about Randoman54 I wouldn’t of believed it, but I have to believe because I was there and witnessed the whole thing.
.
Let me introduce myself.
.

My name is Theodore. I am the little man sent down by the higher powers to watch over, protect, reason, and help guide Randoman54 through his journey on earth.
.

Some say I am an angel others say I am the conscience or sub conscience of the person that I am assigned to at the time. Other people say I am that voice in their head that speak to them in times of hardship and stress.
.

There are others who refer to me as instinct, your gut trying to tell you something, I guess by now you know who I am
.

When I am with Randoman54 my favorite place to be is on his right shoulder. It’s nice and comfy, right next to his ear when I have to tell him something.
.
But if Rando has a chip on his shoulder I am forbidden to sit there and much worse I lose contact with him. I cannot locate him until he removes the chip on his shoulder.
.
This makes it a lot harder to do my job. I have rules to follow just like anyone else.
.

Randoman54 is AWOL. I can’t find him anywhere.
.

I am usually off on Sunday and can do whatever I want. Rando when he is not umpiring a baseball game always plays poker on the internet. I love to sit on his shoulder and watch him play. His favorite site is spade club. He loves the fact he can play all the poker he wants without any financial burden whatsoever. He has found many friends on spade club who share his love for this great game of poker.
.
He also plays on another site I think it’s called jokerstars , bendoverstars or something like that.
.

Anyway this Sunday was special for Rando. Three big tourneys for him to play in-the 5k at sc and two 300k tourneys. One of the 300k tourneys has a 150k overlay (extra added money in the prize fund). Today was a chance for Rando to make some extra cash he desperately needs.
.

I like to coach him sometimes when I am on his shoulder. Sometimes he listens to me but most time he is too focused on the game to get the message I am trying to send him. Last week in the 5k he was doing real well. He was a card rack AA twice and both times miraculously they held up.

.
Rando gets moved to another table. He gets dealt AA again UTG. I scream at him to fold. There are four players behind him that are charter members of the B.P.P.A. (Bingo Poker Payers Assoc)
.
Any raise or shove will end up in a big multi way pot.He has plenty of chips. AA doesn’t play well heads up let alone a 3 or 4 way pot. Rando listened to me and folded AA preflop only to see the chips flying with KJ sucking out on QQ >>>K- J-3-5-9
.
.He went on to finish 40th in last weeks’s 5k.
.
Good thing Rando has a sense of humor. Last week playing in the 250k at bendoverstars he suffered a horrendous beat by all in shoving donkey.I didn’t even see that one coming. He deals with it by blogging a Christmas song about it on spadeclub and moves on.
.

This Sunday Rando was on a mission. 3 tourneys all that money up for grabs.I was up perched on his right shoulder beer in hand(I get to have a few beers on Sunday) cheering him on.
.

In the 5k on sc Rando is card dead with 915 players left he has less than 10x the Big Blind. He makes the no brainer pre flop shove with AA and gets looked up by 1010 22 and another who folded to all the action. Needless to say 1010 hits his 10 and the 5k party is over for Rando. No prob he closes the table and now focuses on the other two big tourneys.
.

In the 300k guarantee the blinds are 5mins. Rando gets AK in late pos with 1 limper and raises 3x BB and gets 2 calling birds. Heckle & Jeckle . Heckle and Rando check the flop and Jeckle shoves. Jeckle is met by two all in insta calls by Heckle & Rando in a comic book dealt hand.
AK—AQ—AJ—flop was K—K—A—Rando triples up.
,

The blinds are insane gotta make a few moves if the cards don’t come. Rando has a hyper agg Russian on his right with 40K. If it’s folded to him he raises with any 2 napkins he receives. His continuation bet rate is 100%.He bets 1/3of the pot if he hits flop much bigger if he misses. The Russian opens from the button and Rando looks down at 87s and decides to call BB folds.Flop is K—Q—J--.Rando checks and the Russian fires out a pot sized bet. Rando’s read is perfect. On a total bluff Rando check raises all in and the Russian folds.
.

With 149196 players the cash comes with 30000 players left.( not a misprint).Rando glides into the cash. With 14000 players left Rando is shortstacked and calls Mr any ace guy’s raise all in and gets a very good all in preflop match up AQ vs A10 for a 13k pot. Rando dodges the 10 but Mr any ace gets a 4 flush sending Rando to the rail.
.

Rando lowers his head and slumps his shoulders. This sends me tumbling down his arm landing on one of his notebooks on the desk. Rando soon straightens up and turns his focus to the one remaining big tourney left, the 250k which has a prize pool of over 300k.
.

I crack open another beer and get back on Rando’s right shoulder.I can’t get comfy cause Rando’s whole body has tightened up.33203 runners in this one with the cash starting at 5400.Rando has been doing O.K. so far.
.
We are on the cash bubble about 2,3,or 4 hands away.Rando can fold his way to the cash but that would leave him with hardly any chips left.
.
Blinds 500/1000 Rando is in the BB.
Every one folds to the button another blind stealing aggressive European who is the big stack at the table (42k)
Sb has 8k .The European moves all in with max risk of 20% of his stack. The sb knows the deal and he calls all in for 8k and there is Rando in the BB with KK.
.
Rando clicks on the more time button and goes into the tank. He then shouts out loud” BB you have nothing and sb you can beat nothing but you are a very good player >>this close to the cash you must have a decent poket pair 99-1010-JJ-QQ- but please not AA.”Screw the cash “” this is way too good a spot 11k pot to me if I call and win.”
.

With that Rando clicks the call button, the hands are flipped over and I stand up on his shoulder all pumped up!!
.

Button >>>> K7
Sb >>>>>> 1010
Rando >>>>> KK
The cards come out 6—4—7------7-----5 ( button makes trips)
.
Rando jumps out of his seat and slams his hand into the desk so hard the walls shook. I fell back off his shoulder and landed in the waste paper basket spilling my beer all over me.He started screaming at the computer screen using words even an x sailor like me never heard.
.

Andre the big macaw in the living room fell off his perch, the dog took cover in the closet. In all the years I have been with Rando I have never seen a temper display like that.
.

In 3 tournaments today Randoman54 outlasted 164,000 players and broke out even.
.

Then the bright light comes and gets me.I quickly wind up in my quarters and hear a powerful voice say”you better lay off them beers and find Rando before we lose him altogether!”
.

“Yes sir, but how can I find him” I wimper back.
.

“That’s not my job Theodore it’s yours” the powerful voice retorts”. If you don’t find him your next job will be fire extinguisher duty on the edge of hell.”
.

So if anyone is reading this PLEASE tell Randoma54 that Theodore really needs to talk to him. CODE RED he will know what that means.
.
The way it works up here Rando can’t see this blog but you can.
.

Heavenly yours
Theodore
.

Most of my clients nowadays are poker players, hell( oops scratch that ) heck, I even have Jake, the horny poker playing dog who really needs me too.
.

I love my job and don’t want to lose it.
