I have no comment on how you played the hand, but appreciate that you state it was not a bad beat, just a bad read. I did the same thing in a live tourney the other night... convinced myself my opponent had a straight and called instead of pushing on the flop. Got outflopped with a higher 2 pair (of course). Ah well, live and learn I guess.

the best laid plans sometimes go wrong

Well it's down to 3 out of a field of 169 in the nightly railbirds tourney. The 3 of us have been going round and round for 30 mins when this hand came up.Obv there are many ways to play this and the one I picked was great up to the turn.I could have won this hand preflop and on the flop but decided to go for the gold. Both opponents were solid players and I needed a double up so don't think this is a bad beat story.I made a real bad read on this hand and went against my golden rule by betting my trips on the river when the 3rd heart fell for my last 60k.I put the guy on a queen when he checked the flop and bet the turn and called my 48k raise on the turn not a flush draw which he had. When he checked the river I really felt he didn't want to push his queen in case I had ace rag.I was pot commited on the turn so if he made a flush on the river why would he not bet it?As to my limping in I was hoping for someone to raise but 3 handed I will take my chances with AA on a limp.Remember we have been on the same table for an hour and 3 handed for 30 mins so we have a good feel for each other and this gear change by me was designed to win a big pot which just happened to backfire on the river.
Would love your feedback on this hand.I was in the zone and playing my best but where did my read go wrong and why was I so convinced he did not have the flush?

I think you played the hand pretty well. You thought it out.
You decided to play this hand for all of your chips, so I like an all-in bet on the turn. Any decent player will not chase a flush draw now, with only a 25% chance of making it.. Once donnie called the 48,000, he was pot commited and got very lucky.
