I have a dream
By rekopMay 02, 08 12:20 PM

to play at the WSOP one of these years. My wife is willing to let me pay the entry fee out of pocket to play it once and then give up playing poker, but that is too stiff a price to get to the tournament for me - the demand to give up poker that is. It kills her that I 'waste' time playing this game. To me playing poker consumes time, but it's not a waste. I have done more self reflection when playing poker than any other time in my life including all the time sitting on the oval thing in my life.
If I ever win a 40K tournament here, it will be the day my dream comes true without the burden to put my playing poker on the line. So if you are my friends please be kind to me in the 40K tournament. Just let me hang on to my blinds every round. I am not asking for anything more!
Gook luck and see you all around.

A couple of suggestions: You can look into playing one or more of the many satellite events at the WSOP to try to win your way in, they are much cheaper (starting around $330); and teach your wife how to play! Once she gets the hang of it, she just might surprise you (and herself!). As far as the 40K, for tomorrow's bout you'll most likely be facing well over 1,000 players, so good luck. We are all there for one reason: to win! Poker is not a waste of time, for some of us it is our passion.

lol, ok! I believe that is your dream and about 99% of the people here, so you better bring your A game.
Dreams are cool though, keep grinding.
