MY GREATEST HAND...

Playing in a multi table tournament at our local dog track, there were 139 ppl in this tourny with a $100.00 entry fee. We were down to 30 ppl when "MY GREATEST HAND" hit. Blinds are 300 / 600 and I'm in position 7, with 3 limpers in front, I look down at pocket 8's. I min raise to 1200. Button & SB folds, BB calls and the 3 limpers also call. 5 in the hand. Great !! nice pot too. Then the miracle hits, the flop is 8-8-2. (I still hear the music playing in my head) We all check around. Turn is another 2. At this point the heart is starting to pound. The BB bets 3600 and to my amazement, there are 3 calls.... AH !!! what to do i say. So I just call. I'm surprized no one at the table saw my heart pounding out of my chest..... Now the next miracle occurred.... The river was another 2. WEEOOH, there is a FH on board. SWEET. Well here it goes. The BB and the 3 limpers check. Now it is up to me. I wait about 2 minutes and I make it appear as if I am going to make a nice size bet but stopped and then said ALL IN. The BB insta-calls YIPPEE!!!! BUT WAIT..... First limper folds ( damn you ), then the next 2 call. HOLY SMOKES !!!!! Am I seeing things, as I'm rubbing my eye's. Plus, I have them all covered. The BB turns over pocket 10's. One of the 2 remaining limpers just mucks, gets up and storms away. The other played the board... BEAUTY.... NOW I drop the BOMB. To hear the table and a few railbirds let out an "OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" as I showed the 8's was one of my greatest thrills in poker... By the way, when we were down to 3 we decided to chop and run each taking home about $2,800. Not Bad, eh.. There are a few other nice hands I've had, but this one, this one is THE GREATEST !!!! Maybe next I'll tell you about my Royal Flush Jackpot!!! Now let me know about "YOUR GREATEST HANDS".
