People want to believe in luck as a substitute for their play, either good or bad. If that same player hits his flush on the river was he lucky? Or if he doesn't hit it, is he he unlucky? I say neither. There is a percentage of times that he is going to hit versus the times that he won't. That's not say that he may hit it that flush three three times in a row that he tries, but over a thousand hands or 10000 hands it goes back to X percentage of times hitting the flush versus X percentage o
