If anyone wants to read about the final table main event of the WSOP 2009, you can go to ----------------------------------------------------[www.pokernews.com]- I will not state any of that article here to avoid ruining it for some one that wants to watch it on television. All of the final nine of course are millionaires now by playing the final table. This last couple of years I decided to follow and watch a young player that I knew was going to be a millionaire by playing poker. I have been following Tommy Vedes who got 19th in the WSOP main event this year and got $352,832. I have played against Tommy in Laughlin a few times over the years. On Oct. 26, 2009 he won $1.2 million getting first at the Festa al Lago in Las Vegas. He has won in the last couple of years now $1,932,440. He got another first on Aug 5 at 2009 World Poker and won $41,629 and last year won first at Venetian deep stack and took home $57,740. This year so far he has major cash winnings in 9 different tournament. He is a young man that quit his job last year to try playing poker for a living and it appears that he is surviving. I find it interesting and fun to know some one that is making money in the poker world. I thought that Tommy was overally to aggessive but it is working for him. He has that type of table image. He always told me to be entirely unpredicatable. He said to always have a positive attitude and think of yourself as a great player. I noticed that when ever he enters to play that most of the time he always opens with a raise and generally continues with a raise after the flop and on the turn.
Best of Luck to you playing the poker world. I have been trying to make a lot of effort to remember to always play for fun and visualize playing well and winning.
Chuck
